Something ESEMOS is very happy about: In December 2009 we donated money to Ingenieure ohne Grenzen/Engineers without borders for a biogas project in Tanzania, see also here (in German). Under the title 'Search is not Zen' Peter Rieger would like to present our Butterfly based search system on this year's Next in Berlin. Votes in favour of his speech are more than welcome.

ESEMOS is proud to be invited to this year's New Year reception for regional economy representatives in the glass hall of Leipzig's trade fair on January 12th. Our COO Dirk Scholz will represent us among Saxony's prime minister and other economy personalities from Saxony.

Let's cook: On November 30th ESEMOS is hosting a small pre-Christmas cooking event at KETAO. We are already looking forward to this event and to cooking and eating!

On November 26th the whole ESEMOS team meets in Schlosshotel Ballenstedt to pass in review the year 2010 and to discuss what we are likely to expect in 2011 and how to tackle it.

From now on Butterfly is also working for the pug: Together with the relaunch of its online shop, Medimops, the biggest German portal for second hand media, has decided to use ESEMOS' search technology. Relevant search results from Apache Solr, search suggestions by Ariadne and facetted search are directly integrated, delivered to the new OXID shop and rendered ... and all extremely fast within a catalog of 3 million items available.

On November 9th the first project status of the study group Kosi3 of Technical University Darmstadt takes place, managed by Prof. Grieser. Among other projects a normalization program for weather data, a project management consolidation tool and a program for validating automatic test routines are presented. ESEMOS is hosting this event and presents the latest developments and projects in search. Marius Kolkowski (working student at ESEMOS) will present the project status of his event search.

On the 7th and 8th of October Ulrike Hübner (CEO) and Lutz Tischendorf (CTO) visit the conference Lucene Revolution in Boston/USA.

With immediate effect ESEMOS is officially listed as product supplier for the search platform of Deutsche Telekom AG. Working as a service supplier for professional search solutions and producer of innovative search solutions ESEMOS gets therefore the opportunity to participate in all invitations to bid in search platforms of Deutsche Telekom. This appraisal for ESEMOS was the result of a detailed check of all IT vendors and suppliers for Deutsche Telekom. ESEMOS was able to convince with its technological core competencies together with a committed team, strong products, and a dedicated customer orientation. ESEMOS will pursue to focus on search technologies and by this consolidate and extend its leader position in search technologies in Germany.

Musicload, Germany's most known music download portal, offers its customers from now on immediate music artist search suggestions. The music portal that has been elected test winner for the second time in a row by Stiftung Warentest in April 2010 has decided to use ESEMOS' innovative Ariadne search solution. ... read more (in German)

On June 10th, Dirk Scholz (COO) will represent ESEMOS on the Dresdener Zukunftsforum. On the very same day Peter Rieger (CBD) visits LOMBB, an event for local online marketing in Berlin and Brandenburg.

Donations for Haiti: ESEMOS does not want and cannot remain silent in front of a disaster like the one in Haiti right now. During the last days, our ESEMOS employees and freelancers have privately donated the considerable amount of 1,110.00 EUR (thank you!!!!). On January 19th ESEMOS has donated the same amount to Ärzte ohne Grenzen.
